Happy Brew Year!

This year, we're taking on a new challenge: home brewing.  The photos below chronicle our first attempt at making a pale ale.  

After boiling and adding the first round of ingredients, we get to the hot break.

In the absence of fresh hops, these pellets (resembling cat food, I know) have to do.

In a few weeks, we'll be able to bottle this first batch.  But, for now, we have to wait as the brew ferments...
