I came home today to find a tulip outside our door. I had noticed the neighbor's kids playing with flowers at the mailbox; my guess is that it inadvertently came from them. It looked like it had just been picked, and I didn't have the heart to just kick it aside. Plus, I thought the petals and stamen looked really interesting up close (hooray for macro!). It was such a happy find that I wanted to share it whoever should happen upon this blog. Here is what I saw:
